Managing the Staff Commission


It is common for the salon bussinesses to pay commission to the staff for the services they have provided or the items sold to the customer.

You can easily manage the commission in the app, this article explains how to setup/use the commission management feature.

 

  • Types of the commission

 

There are 2 types of commissions in the app.

 

    1. Commission for the service

      This is the commission when your staff provided any service for the customer.
      -  Ex, Hair Cut for hair salon, Nail polish for nail salon,, etc.
      The commission rate is set for each staff.

    2. Commission for the goods

      This is the commission when your staff sold the item to the customer
       - Ex, Sales for Shampoo, Wax, etc. 
      The commission rate is set for each goods.

  • How to set the commission rate
    1. Commission for the service

      The commission rate is set for each staff, so, each staff can have different commission rate. Also, you can set the phased commission rate. In addition, the staff can have different commission rate for different period. You can set up them in Setting > Commission Rate.

      For example,,,

      Staff Patricia

       "Commission rate 50% up to monthly sales of $2000, then increatsed to 55%".
       Let's say if she is promoted to senior member on 14/Oct/2016, and commission would be increased as following
       "Commission rate 55% up to monthly sales of $3000, then 60% up to monthly sales of $6000, then 70%"

      You can set the different rate for another staff

      Staff "James"

      Flat commission rate for 50%



    2. Commission for the goods

      The commission rate is same for all the staff, but different for each product. You can set the commission rate at Setting > Goods / Stock

      For example
       - Shampoo : 50%
       - Wax : 40%



  • How the commission will be allocated to the staff?

    1. Commission for the Service

      The staff assigned to the service will have the commission

    2. Commission for the Goods

      The staff specified in the “Checkout” screen will have the commission


       


  • How to review the staff commission in the salon?

    Please navigate to Accounting > Commission Review, you can view the total, by stylist, each commission record of service/goods for the specified period. 


 

 

  • How to hide the commission information from the staff

    You can protect the commission information by setting the PIN number and select “Accounting” as the protected area in Setting > Security.
